Support the troops, Canadian Style

I had to laugh at this one. Only in Canada...

There is a group of people in White Rock who are showing their support for the Canadian troops in Afghanistan. They have packed up a number of care packages to send over with items that the soldiers are lacking: toothbrushes, deodorant, toilet paper, etc.

And?

Gift cards for the Tim Hortons they have there on the base!!!

Canada's favourite donut shop has an outlet on the military base in Afghanistan. Support the troops! Send gift cards for a honey crueller or a double double!

Why don't our soldiers have toilet paper. Or toothbrushes, deodorant, etc..
The Tim Hortons there must be a horrible place to work what with all the unwiped butts, smelly breath and B.O. from the soldiers..

Yay, Timmy's?

Yeah, you'd think the military would have supplied that kind of stuff, let us take care of the extras like the Timmy's cards.

H&B - EW! Well I hadn't quite thought of it that way... maybe THAT'S what the high wages for working in a hazardous area are for! ;)
