By golly, so THAT'S how we can fix this climate conundrum!

With apologies to the great (and very intelligent!) bloggers who live in Arkansas...

Um....... IS THIS REAL????????

Who would let her WRITE this? Oh my, oh my...

I'd laugh, but I'm too horrified.

Okay, I'm laughing, but it's a "oh my gosh, MORON" laugh.

I assumed it was a joke. Frightening to consider the possibility that it wasn't :oO

You have GOT to be kidding me! I sure hope it's a joke or not only is the columnist dumb, but so is her editor for letting it get through!

Looks like it's a letter to the editor? In which case, the editor is GENIOUS for letting her idiocy be known to all the world. That's punishment enough! :P

I hear from more elderly people all the time that this global warming stuff is "rubbish!" I love that one unseasonably cold, snowy day in SE Pennsylvania can mean that GLOBAL warming is hogwash.

But, in all fairness, I did not give due consideration to the daylight savings time. Wow. I feel so stupid for not having seen 'the light'!!

(I have to laugh at this, or I'll just cry...)

And her name is on that letter for all time now. Sigh.

That's quite funny, because actually the opposite is true. DST saves energy and reduces crime and traffic accidents.

Ok, I had to look into this further (Yes... I HAD TO :P )

It turns out Connie M. Meskimen is a lawyer, might be male (there seems to be differing info on this) and, based on other submissions to the paper, has a sarcastic streak... Oh, and Connie does not seem to like the columnist "Philip Martin" ;)
Letter 1
Letter 2
Letter 3
Snopes Entry

So yeah... I'm thinking the global warming letter was meant to be sarcasm and not genuine. (Yeah, I know... I'm a party pooper! :P)

It had to be sarcasm ! The spelling is too perfect. If you can write and spell, you can't be that dense.

LOL! That is so funny!

oh, I am so glad this is a sarcastic letter - because I was getting rather scared there for a minute... :P in that case: good write!

Oh, Melissa, I am SO GLAD you looked that up!!!!!! I felt BAD for this chick. Your research makes me think this is awesome, then.

Except that little old people are going to think she's right, but whatever, this is still funny.
